Shipping & Delivery Policy

This Shipping & Delivery Policy applies to orders placed through www.idcards.ie.

idcards.ie is operated by Bool Technologies Ltd. Throughout this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to idcards.ie / Bool Technologies Ltd.

1. Delivery areas

We currently deliver to addresses in the Republic of Ireland.

Delivery to Northern Ireland, the UK, the EU or other international locations may be available by quotation. Please contact us before placing an order if you require delivery outside the Republic of Ireland.

2. Delivery charges

Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you complete your order.

Delivery charges may vary depending on the value, size, weight and destination of your order. Large or high-value items, including card printers and bulk consumables, may require tracked courier delivery.

All delivery charges are shown in euro and, where applicable, include VAT.

3. Order processing times

Orders are processed during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, excluding Irish public holidays.

Where items are in stock, we normally aim to dispatch orders within 1–2 working days.

Orders placed after our daily cut-off time, at weekends or on public holidays will usually be processed on the next working day.

Some products may be supplied to order, shipped directly from a distributor, or subject to manufacturer availability. Where this applies, we will contact you if there is likely to be a material delay.

4. Estimated delivery times

For in-stock items delivered within the Republic of Ireland, delivery is usually expected within 7-10 working days after dispatch.

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to courier schedules, stock availability, weather, seasonal demand, address issues or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If a delivery date is essential, please contact us before placing your order so we can confirm whether your required date is achievable.

5. Back-orders and unavailable items

If an item is out of stock or unavailable after you place your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.

We may offer you one or more of the following options:

  • wait for the item to come back into stock;
  • accept a suitable alternative product;
  • receive a partial shipment where practical;
  • cancel the affected item or order and receive a refund.

We will not substitute products without your agreement.

6. Delivery method

Orders are normally delivered by courier or parcel delivery service.

A signature may be required on delivery, particularly for card printers, high-value items or business deliveries.

For security reasons, we may not be able to deliver certain products to PO boxes, parcel lockers or unattended addresses.

7. Delivery address

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, including Eircode where available.

We are not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect, incomplete or inaccessible delivery details supplied at checkout.

If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect address or failed delivery attempt, we may contact you to arrange re-delivery. Additional delivery charges may apply.

8. Failed delivery attempts

If a courier is unable to complete delivery, they may leave instructions for re-delivery or collection.

Please follow the courier’s instructions promptly. If an order is returned to us after failed delivery attempts or non-collection, we will contact you to arrange the next steps.

9. Risk and responsibility for goods

For consumer orders, the goods remain our responsibility until they are delivered to you or to a person nominated by you to receive them.

If your order is damaged, lost or missing in transit, please contact us and we will work with the delivery provider to resolve the issue. Irish consumer guidance confirms that, for consumer deliveries, the retailer remains responsible until the buyer takes physical possession of the goods.

10. Damaged deliveries

Please inspect your delivery as soon as possible after receipt.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours where possible and include:

  • your order number;
  • photographs of the damaged packaging;
  • photographs of the damaged item;
  • details of any missing items.

This helps us resolve the issue quickly with the courier or supplier. This does not affect your statutory rights.

11. Missing or incomplete orders

If an item is missing from your delivery, please contact us as soon as possible.

Some orders may be shipped in more than one parcel or from more than one location. We will confirm whether the missing item is due to follow separately or whether further action is required.

12. Delayed delivery

If your order is delayed, please contact us and we will investigate.

Where we have agreed a specific delivery date with you and fail to deliver by that date, you may have the right to cancel the order and receive a refund. Where no specific delivery date has been agreed, goods should be delivered without undue delay and no later than 30 days from the date of order, unless otherwise agreed.

13. Collection

Collection is not available unless agreed with us in advance.

Where collection is agreed, we will contact you when your order is ready and provide collection instructions.

14. Business orders

Where you are purchasing on behalf of a business, school, college, public body or other organisation, additional terms may apply, including quotation terms, purchase order requirements, credit account terms or project-specific delivery arrangements.

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights where you are acting as a consumer.
